Assisted Living

Culpepper Garden provides accommodation for seniors who need help with activities of daily living in the William P. Harris Assisted Living Center (operated by the nonprofit corporation Culpepper Garden III).
These 73 residents do not require constant care, but they need extra assistance to continue living on their own.
Residents in assisted living receive:
-
three full meals a day;
- a personalized service plan that is regularly updated;
- light housekeeping and laundry help;
- medication management;
- help with bathing and dressing;
- help with meal preparation;
- reminders and redirection when needed;
- help scheduling physician’s appointments and arranging transportation;
- a licensed nurse on staff;
- a 24-hour emergency call system; and
- activities and entertainment.

Culpepper Garden residents are low and moderate income, and assisted living services can run as high as $2,500 per month per resident.
Residents’ rent and federal and county subsidies do not cover all of these expenses. We rely on the generosity of contributors to help cover costs.
