A nonprofit retirement community

Culpepper Garden has been home to low- and moderate-income seniors since 1975. We offer both independent and supportive services in comfortable, convenient and secure apartments in Arlington, VA.

Rising costs in the Washington, DC, area and longer lives have eroded the savings of local seniors. At Culpepper Garden, residents pay rent based on their income.

But Culpepper Garden is more than a place to live — it is a place to call home. It is an active, vibrant community, where residents enjoy companionship (or privacy), activities, help with day-to-day tasks and more.

2nd Annual Elder Service Awards

As Culpepper celebrates its 35th anniversary, we are honoring the legacy of the founders with the second annual Elder Service Award. This award recognizes individuals who have provided services to seniors consistent with Culpepper Garden’s mission, vision and commitment to seniors, and who have inspired others to work on the behalf of low-income and vulnerable, elderly residents of Arlington.
